Course content
Before the excursion, students work with their teacher to develop an excursion plan, define the theme of the excursion, and conduct preliminary research on the topic. During the excursion, students work on the assigned topic and compile materials on it in groups. The results of the foreign excursion are presented during the excursion and also after its completion as part of an evaluation seminar. The foreign pedagogical excursion lasts two days and usually takes place in a foreign language - both the excursion itself and the preparation for it (in the form of studying specialized texts). The Foreign Pedagogical Excursion course thus strengthens students' foreign language skills and at the same time reinforces the international aspect of their studies. Its aim is also to motivate students to gain further professional experience abroad - student mobility within the ERASMUS+ program. Students will become familiar with foreign pedagogical concepts and improve their language and comparative pedagogical knowledge.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Project teaching
  • Fieldtrips - 120 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to process a selected pedagogical topic based on a visit to an educational institution or a visit to a selected museum, exhibition, etc. related to the topic of a foreign pedagogical excursion. A visit to a foreign partner university and a lecture by a foreign lecturer for FP TUL students on the topic of foreign excursions are also planned.
