Course content
1. Italian pedagogy in the interwar period. 2. Italian pedagogical discussion and inclusion issue - historical and current issues. 3. The reform pedagogical movement in the historical perspective. 4. Relationship between cultural history, cultural studies and pedagogy. 5. Selected issues of philosophy of education in the Central European context. 6. History of Slovak pedagogical thought in the 20th century. 7. Interpretation of texts and pedagogical research.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)
  • Class attendance - 14 hours per semester

  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course follows the extension of knowledge of students in the field of comparison of pedagogical issues in the European debate, but also increase the openness and sensitivity to the students regarded the pedagogical problems in international comparison. The course is enrolled at the end of the studies, as it is assumed that the students already have basic and deeper knowledge and skills in general pedagogy, didactics and pedagogical psychology, etopedy and social pedagogy. On these basics, the students follow up on the international comparison of selected pedagogical problems with experts from leading European universities.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Selected issues of educational theory in international research context 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral paper
Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of pedagogy and psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written assignment

Active participation in seminars, seminar task.
