Course content
The course Children's biology acquaints students with position of human in the system of organism, human phylogenesis, base of anatomy and human physiology, individual children´s and young people development, age specifics in the development, hygiene of school work, scopes and resources of illness prevence and development defekt, action atmosphere on the health and the basics of first aid.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Project teaching
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 18 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 24 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination

The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.The student have to know human biology knowledge at the level of higher secondary school. We recomend the book Novotný I. et Hruška M.: Biologie člověka pro gymnázia. Fortuna, Praha 1995 for absolvents of tecnical coledges. The final exam contents of writing test and oral exam.
