Course content
1. Psychodidactics as a key pedagogical discipline (subject, position and relations to pedagogy and psychology, basic problems, aspects of teaching, teaching as a system and process). 2. Determinants of real teaching (definition, categorization). 3. School and pupil in primary education (school as a specific organization, meaning and function of primary education, specifics of primary education, concept of pupil and his developmental peculiarities, learning styles, social aspects of teaching, school classroom as an environment of socialization, group dynamics). 4. Primary school teacher (personality of primary school teacher, authority, competences, teaching styles, pedagogical interaction, problems of the teaching profession, school and family). 5. Primary education curriculum (goals and content, socio-historical determination of the content of primary education, psychodidactic aspects of designing the content of education, current education reform, RVP, specifics of first-level school subjects, textbooks).

Learning outcomes
The course introduces students to psychodidactics as an interdisciplinary theory, which takes into account didactic, pedagogical-psychological and social-psychological aspects in teaching analysis. In this complex concept, students are introduced to the specifics of primary education.

General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral presentation of self-study, Test

Participation in exercises, completion of ongoing assignments, presentations, active participation in discussions on professional topics based on critical analysis of literature, seminar paper, test.
