Course content

Exercises: 1. Basics of playing major, minor, diminished, and augmented chords and their inversions. 2. Creating a single-voice accompaniment, counterpoint, or second voice for folk or art songs. 3. Using the piano and guitar as supporting instruments when working with a choir. 4. Rules for reading chord symbols and their implementation in song accompaniment. 5. Major and minor harmonic cadences in the keys of C, G, D, A, E, B, F. 6. Chromatic progression of major and minor fifth chords, use. 7. Chromatic progressions of major and minor fifth chords, their use. 8. Harmonization of melody in simpler and more complex forms. 9. Prelude, postlude, and interlude, their function in creating song accompaniment. 10. Creation and realization of one's own accompaniment according to chord symbols. 11. Possibilities of using different chord arrangements in song accompaniment. 12. Transposition of harmonic accompaniment from the original key to any key. 13. - 14. Preparation for public performance and its aspects.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to equip students with basic habits and skills in the field of instrumental playing. This is achieved through playing harmonic instruments such as the piano and guitar, supplemented by the monophonic recorder. The study of instrumental playing includes playing folk and art songs, with an emphasis on mastering chord accompaniment using the main harmonic functions.
