Course content
|
Thematic areas: 1. History of textile materials. Types of textile materials and techniques in history, art, and design. Tradition and the present day. 2. Examples of textile use in contemporary visual arts. Important Czech and international visual artists using textile materials and techniques. 3. Examples of good practice - inspiration for practice. Examples of artistic activities with textile materials suitable for activities with children and adults. 4. Art workshop - two-dimensional textile creation. 5. Art workshop - three-dimensional textile creation, time-space creation. 6. Art workshop - traditional textile techniques. 7. Presentation of seminar work, joint reflection, summary of the material covered.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject is taught in the form of a creative art workshop in two-hour blocks, i.e. a total of 7 blocks per semester. Students become familiar with basic terminology, textile materials and their specific properties, the history and present use of textile materials and techniques in the visual arts. They learn to use examples from artistic and craft creation when planning art activities with children and adults. They practically try out selected textile techniques.
