Course content
Thematic areas: Before the excursion, students prepare an excursion plan under the guidance of a teacher, define the excursion thematically, and conduct "preliminary research" on the topic of the excursion. During the excursion, students work on the assigned topic and analyze, evaluate, and reflect on the teaching and educational program of the selected educational institution, the pedagogical starting points and goals of the program, and in a professional discussion, they become familiar with the possibilities and problems of implementing the SEP. The outputs from the excursion are presented during reflection within the evaluation seminar after the excursion itself.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to elaborate on a selected pedagogical topic based on a visit to a selected 1st grade elementary school that is inspiring for primary education (e.g. schools and teachers who have been awarded the Zlatý Amos / Global Teacher Prize, innovative schools in other regions of the Czech Republic) or a visit to an educational institution (pedagogical museum, exhibitions, non-profit organizations, institutions of informal education, etc.) related to the topic of primary education.
