Course content
Topics: 1.Personal and professional growth of the 1st grade elementary school teacher. Self-reflective techniques of professional development. Student portfolio and planning of student workshops. 2.The concept of primary education in a Waldorf school - (integrated teaching, holistic development of the student, the concept of artistic, musical and work activities, teacher, festivities, cooperation between parents and the school). Excursion to a selected school. 3.Reflexive seminar on Waldorf education. 4.Montessori primary education (concept of three years, age heterogeneity, sensorimotor material and educational areas, working with errors, individual approach to the child). Excursion to a selected school. 5. Reflective seminar on Montessori education. 6."We learn (we) outside" - research in teaching, cooperative teaching, activation methods in teaching, formative assessment. Excursion to a selected school. 7.Reflective seminar on the educational concept We learn (we) outside. 8.Teacher in an innovative school. Discussion with a teacher from practice. 9.Reflective seminar on the concept of a teacher in an innovative school. 10.Innovative school - wellbeing / health at school / project-based teaching / student as a (co)creator of the school / children's parliament. Excursion to a selected school. 11.Reflective seminar on an innovative school. 12.Preparation and implementation of student workshops. Reflection and evaluation of student portfolios.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to innovative methods and concepts of primary education. Students will observe, analyse and reflect on selected pedagogical phenomena from the practice of innovative schools. The course includes field trips to selected innovative schools, discussions with practicing teachers, student reflections. During the semester, the student continuously develops a portfolio and conducts a student workshop.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.
