Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Introduction to the content of the practice. 2. Observing and analyzing the educational process at the beginning of the 1st year 3. Comparison of requirements for pre-school and post-school pupils. Reflection on practice.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Observation, Group consultation, Individual consultation
  • Home preparation for classes - 30 hours per semester
  • Practical training (number of hours) - 28 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
Admission to primary education - pedagogical practice in the 1st year of elementary school at the beginning of the school attendance of pupils is focused on the gradual introduction of the student to the character of the work in primary education, which directly builds on pre-school education. The aim is to observe and analyze the course of the educational process in terms of teacher and pupil activities and their interaction with an accent on educational activity and its link to pre-school education. The activity of the assistant is to follow the practical experience of kindergarten pupils. This activity fulfills the function of orientation in the school environment, practical familiarization with the organization of teaching, the specifics of pupils of younger school age, etc. Students are divided into the 1st grades of collaborating elementary schools. A pedagogical diary is continuously kept.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio

Participation at seminars, seminar paper, credit test. Reflection on practice. The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.
