Course content
Thematic Areas: Personal and Social Education: Definition, objectives, methods, outcomes, safe environment, preparation, and evaluation. Competencies of Educators for Implementing Personal and Social Education in Preschool: Psychosocial stress in teaching, and habits for maintaining psychological well-being. Personal and Social Education and Thematic Blocks in Preschool: Integration into daily activities and curricula. Who Am I, What Am I Like: Self-awareness, the child's relationship with themselves, self-regulation, and self-organization. Me and Others, Others and Me: The child's relationship with peers and adults, shared experiences, understanding others, communication, cooperation, competence building, and problem-solving. Me and the World Around Me: Perception of diversity, understanding risks, healthy lifestyle, family, and finding one's place in the world. Creativity, Values, Attitudes, and Practical Ethics: Encouraging creative expression, fostering ethical behavior, and promoting positive values and attitudes.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the area of personality and social education, which penetrates all educational areas. Personal and social education contributes to the authentic establishment of the teacher's relationship with children and their parents, the development of relationships between children, the creation of a healthy self-image and the relationship of the child to the world surrounding it. In order to effectively manage the pre-school education requirements expressed above all in the level of competence of the teacher in the kindergarten, it is essential for the teacher to acquire the skills represented in this area.

Assessment methods and criteria
Interview, Systematické pozorování studenta, Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio, Oral presentation of self-study

Engage actively in all exercises, discussions, and practical activities. Develop a seminar paper on a relevant topic and present the findings or proposals during the course.
