Course content
|
1. **Preschool Pedagogy within the System of Pedagogical Sciences** - Basic concepts: socialization, upbringing, education, learning, teaching. 2. **Functions of Preschool Education** - The role of preschool education in the system of upbringing and education, and the importance of kindergartens for the lives of children and modern families. 3. **Education of Preschool Children in the Czech Republic** - Current state of institutions for preschool education, legal framework of preschool education. 4. **Selected Approaches to Preschool Education** - Sociocentric, child-centric, and personality-oriented approaches. 5. **Current Trends in Preschool Education** - Inclusive education and education of two-year-old children. 6. **Curriculum** - Socio-historical context, curriculum transformations, and curricular reform. 7. **Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education (RVP PV)** - Educational areas, expected outcomes, and key competencies. 8. **Transformation of Goals and Content in Preschool Education** - Didactic transformation of educational content. 9. **Social Dimension of Childhood and Upbringing** - The relationship between maturation, learning, socialization, and upbringing in child development. 10. **Play as a Means of Comprehensive Child Development** - Types of play and its significance for socialization and education. 11. **Family Education** - Changes in families at the turn of the millennium, family functions, educational styles, types of family education, functional and dysfunctional families. 12. **Relationships Between Families and Kindergartens** - Child's entry into kindergarten, building parent-teacher relationships, and communication between family and kindergarten. 13. **Kindergarten Teacher** - The teaching profession, teacher competencies, societal expectations, and the specifics of working in a kindergarten. 14. **Methodological Issues in Pedagogical Research** - Ethics in research.

Written exam, Oral presentation of self-study
Active participation in lessons, completion of continuous tasks, presentation on an assigned topic, final test, written exam.
