Course content
The student is familiar with the professional competencies of a kindergarten teacher and, based on their pedagogical, psychological, and methodological preparation, is able to independently compile thematic units for preschool education and instruction. After independently leading lessons and activities, students reflect on their practical outcomes with their training teacher and practice supervisor and master methods of evaluating their pedagogical activities in relation to the RVP PV (Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education) and the professional competencies of kindergarten teachers.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Active metods (simulation, situational contingency methods, drama,acting, namagerial acting ), Clinical practice under supervision
  • Practical training (number of hours) - 120 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Within the course the students perform independent pedagogical activities in selected kindergarten. The aim of the course is to build on the existing forms of practice and to deepen the experience with the field.
Acquired skills: After completing the course, students will be able to: 1. Understand phenomena in kindergarten practice 2. Prepare, conduct, and evaluate their own educational activities in kindergarten 3. Critically evaluate and analyze basic topics related to kindergarten practice 4. Apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the educational process

General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Inspection

Collaboration with kindergarten teachers in conducting individual pedagogical activities with children in kindergarten, creation and ongoing storage of records in the portfolio, final consultation with the practice manager over the portfolio.
