Course content
Topics: 1. System and taxonomy of plans, animals and fungi 2. Identification of nature species 3. Introduction tu ecology - food relations, chains, pyramids 4. Adaptation of species on specific conditions of environment 5. Forrest ecosystem - birds, trees and shrubs 6. Meadow ecosystem - flowers, insect 7. Water ecosystem - water invertebrates, fish 8. Bioms 9. Excursion 10. Field excursion to water pound 11. Field trip 12. Laboratory work 13. Nature conservation in The Czech Republic 14. Summary, reflection

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Demonstration
  • Semestral paper - 28 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The course presents the basics of organic nature, the principles of biological system and terminology of ecology and nature conservation. It's focused on ecosystem conception of education and on formation of positive attitude of children to the nature. Practical experience and firsthand contact with nature is important.

Student's performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Test

Active participation in the classes, written test. The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.
