Course content
Cross-Curricular Topics as an Integral Part of the Curriculum (The meaning and concept of cross-curricular topics in primary education, goals and content of cross-curricular topics in the Framework Educational Program for Primary Education (RVP ZV), the formative function of cross-curricular topics in primary education, the relationship of cross-curricular topics to educational areas). Forms of Implementation of Cross-Curricular Topics in School Educational Programs (Cross-curricular topics as an integrative part of the educational content of teaching subjects, as a separate subject, project, etc.). Expected Outcomes and Educational Content of Cross-Curricular Topics in Primary Education Methods and Forms of Cross-Curricular Topics in Primary Schools (1st Stage) (Specifics of teaching cross-curricular topics in the 1st stage of primary school, methods of receptive and productive activities within cross-curricular topics at the 1st stage). Methods and Forms of Cross-Curricular Topics in Primary Schools (1st Stage) (Cross-curricular topics and key competencies).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Practicum
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 14 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
Students will acquire knowledge of the objectives and content of the cross-cutting themes and will clarify the purpose of including cross-cutting themes in basic education. They will become familiar with different variations of didactical representations of the cross-cutting themes. in the primary school curriculum and strengthen their competences for their implementation at the first stage of primary school. In practical exercises, they will try out the design of the content of cross-cutting themes in the curriculum and in the curricula at the first stage of primary school. The practical exercises will also include the preparation, implementation and reflection of examples of teaching activities for selected thematic areas of individual cross-cutting topics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral presentation of self-study, Written assignment, Test

Completion of continuous tasks, presentations, active participation in discussions on professional topics based on critical analysis of literature, seminar paper, test.
