Course content
Cross-Curricular Topics as an Integral Part of the Curriculum The purpose and concept of cross-curricular topics in primary education. Goals and content of cross-curricular topics in the Framework Educational Program for Primary Education (RVP ZV). The formative function of cross-curricular topics in primary education. The relationship between cross-curricular topics and educational areas. Forms of Implementation of Cross-Curricular Topics in School Educational Programs Cross-curricular topics as an integrative part of the educational content of teaching subjects. Cross-curricular topics as standalone subjects, projects, etc. Expected Outcomes and Educational Content of Cross-Curricular Topics in Primary Education Focused on clear goals and structured content relevant to early learners. Methods and Forms of Cross-Curricular Topics in Primary Schools Specific teaching methods for cross-curricular topics in the first stage of primary school. Methods of receptive and productive activities within cross-curricular topics. Methods and Forms of Cross-Curricular Topics in Primary Schools Cross-curricular topics in the context of developing key competencies.

Learning outcomes
Students will acquire knowledge of the aims and content of cross-curricular themes and will make sense of the inclusion of cross-curricular themes in primary education. They will acquaint themselves with various variants of the didactic rendering of the cross-curricular themes in the curriculum of the primary school and will consolidate the competencies for their realization at the primary schools. In seminars they will try to design the content of cross-curricular themes in School Educational Program and in the curriculum of primary school. Practical seminars will also include preparation, implementation and reflection of examples of teaching activities for selected thematic areas of individual cross-curricular themes.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.

General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral presentation of self-study, Test

Participation in exercises, completion of continuous tasks, presentations, active participation in discussions on professional topics based on critical analysis of literature, seminar paper, test.
