Course content
Topics: 1. Current approach to teaching Czech language and literature in the first stage of elementary school 2. Language and communication education in the second grade 3. Language and communication education in the third grade 4. Dictations - methodology, correction, evaluation 5. Didactic and interactive aids, textbooks for the second and third grades of elementary school. 6. Literary genres in the first stage of elementary school 7. Educational strategies for teachers in teaching literature. 8. Teacher working methods in literary education 9. Activating methods in literary education 10. Reading workshops. Class library. 11. Interdisciplinary relationships in Czech language and literature lessons in the 1st stage of elementary school. 12.-14. Student presentations

Learning outcomes
The course is divided into two parts. The first part provides students with comprehensive teaching methods for language, composition, and communication education, focusing on the first stage of primary school. The second part of the course is devoted to the didactics of literary education, building on previous knowledge in the field of children's literature. It enables students to actively grasp literary texts and, through guided interpretation, bring them closer to younger school-age children. The course uses lectures to convey knowledge, followed by activity-based teaching, which requires the active participation of students.

Attendance at lectures and seminars, ongoing completion of assigned tasks and their presentation, written test.
