Course content
The course is designed as a practical introduction to drama and theater education. Its aim is to motivate students to study and acquire basic knowledge of the field and introduce them to the issues involved. The content covers theatricality and drama as principles of art, life, and education, and also touches on the areas of aesthetic education and personal and social education. Thematic areas: Theatricality and drama as principles of art, life, and education. The relationship between theater and drama. The goals of the field in the areas of aesthetic education and personal and social education. Various forms and levels of role-playing in fictional dramatic situations. The use of games in drama education. Methods and techniques of drama and theater education (nonverbal, verbal, using elements of other arts). Structured drama. The use of music, the development of movement. Reflection as an integral part of drama education. Methods and techniques for managing learning processes through drama/theater education methods (with an emphasis on guiding reflection). Use of literary texts in drama education. Relationship of theater/drama education to other types of education (global, multicultural, personal and social, environmental, media, etc.). Students' own outputs. Students' own outputs.
