Course content
Course Structure: Preparation Phase: Before the excursion, students, under the guidance of the instructor, prepare an excursion plan. They define the thematic focus, conduct preliminary research on the topic, and outline the goals of the visit. Excursion Phase: During the excursion, students work on the assigned topic, analyzing, evaluating, and reflecting on the teaching and educational program of the selected foreign institution. They examine the pedagogical principles and objectives of the program. Through professional discussions, they explore the opportunities and challenges associated with implementing educational programs within the context of the national curriculum. Reflection and Evaluation Phase: The outcomes of the excursion are presented during an evaluative seminar, where students reflect on their findings and share insights. Study Materials: Study literature will be assigned based on the current topic of the international pedagogical excursion. Additional Components: A visit to a partner university abroad is also planned, including a professional lecture delivered by a foreign academic to students of FP TUL, aligned with the theme of the excursion. The international pedagogical excursion is a one-day event and generally conducted in a foreign language, encompassing both the excursion itself and the preparatory phase (through the study of specialized texts). Objectives: The Pedagogical Excursion 1 course enhances students' foreign language skills and strengthens the international dimension of their studies. It aims to motivate students towards further international professional experiences, such as participation in the ERASMUS+ student mobility program.
