Course content
The course focuses on consolidation, further development, and improvement in the areas of vocal activities and instrumental playing. The most commonly used instruments in teaching are the piano and guitar. Partial attention is paid to the musical-movement component. All areas are presented and implemented with practical needs in mind. Thematic areas: A/ Vocal activities at the primary school level. Working with songs - the process of rehearsing a song (methodological notes). Singing minor songs. Basics of conducting technique. Group singing - unison, methodological notes. Collective singing - polyphony, methodological notes. Vocal imitation, vocal intonation, vocal improvisation. Intonation methods, system of support songs, elements of creative intonation. B/ Instrumental playing for use in music education at primary school level. Playing folk (artificial) songs in major and minor keys with chord accompaniment as a basis for stylization. Stylization of folk (artificial) songs, basic types of stylization, bagpipe fifth, admission, decomposition. Playing songs on the piano or guitar with simultaneous singing. Transposition of songs. Possibilities for enriching the accompaniment of folk or artificial songs. C/ Music and movement education in primary schools. Playing selected performance pieces or singing songs as part of a child's music and movement activities. Music and movement activities - responding to rhythm, melody position and movement, tone color, pitch, tempo (and changes in tempo), and dynamics.

Presentation of artistic and creative activities

Attendance at lectures and exercises, ongoing completion of assigned tasks and their presentation, written test, practical demonstration of playing a musical instrument.
