Course content
|
The course introduces students to activity-based teaching methods in music education, which familiarize them with skills that lead to the active involvement of primary school pupils in class choir singing or school choir singing. It provides a basic theoretical and practical framework for methods and activities with a choir at the primary school level, with links to interdisciplinary relationships and the intertwining of educational disciplines. Thematic areas: 1. Games with breath, articulation, and vocal expression. The alphabet in sound and movement. Working with canon. 2. The path to choir singing, unison, polyphony. 3. Preparing and conducting a choir. 4. Rehearsal and performance of choral songs. 5. Rehearsal and performance of polyphonic choral songs. 6. Choral singing and movement activities. 7. Choral singing with thematic links to interdisciplinary relationships and foreign language teaching. 8. Choir activities connected with melodramatic expression. 9. Choir singing and instrumental activities - inclusion of boomwhackers, Orff instruments, and handmade elementary instruments. Preparation and organization of concert performances.
