Course content
|
The course introduces the basics of graphic expression with an emphasis on the possibilities of using graphic approaches and overlaps in artistic activities at the primary school level. Students learn graphic thinking, how to transfer their own drawings into the appropriate technique, how to work in black and white, and try out multicolor printing. Teaching takes the form of an art workshop in which students learn basic graphic and pre-graphic techniques and material games that can be used in primary schools. Thematic areas: 1. Terminology of the field. Means of expression in graphic art. Relief printing, planographic printing, intaglio printing, and screen printing. 2-3. Alternative and pre-graphic processes. 4-5. Basic graphic techniques. 6-9. Techniques suitable for school practice (paper matrices, relief line printing, foam printing, compositional games with elements, etc.). 10-11. Basic equipment for a graphic arts workshop, methodological issues in practice. Collage. 12-13. Material games, unconventional approaches. 14. Combined techniques.
