Thematic areas: 1. History of lettering and caligraphy. Pictogram, ideogram, symbol, logotyp. 2. Letters in contemporary visual arts and design. Art book. Author book. 3. Inspiration for classes. 4. Art making - compositions. 5. Art making - 3D art, new media. 6. Art making - ICT, computer applications for lettering. 7. Semestral project presentation, reflexion, summarizing.

Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces historical and actual context of lettering anf caligraphy in Arts and presents examples of visusl art activities for students and adults.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Presentation of artistic and creative activities, Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio
Active participation in the classes, semestral project presentation. The course is held in Czech language, all requirements are stated in the Czech version.
