Course content
Seminars: 1) Definition and objective of a case study. 2) Case study as an effort to understand a particular social object in its complexity. 3) Capture the complexity of a case and describe relationships in their entirety. 4) Background, deeper understanding of the whole case. 5) Choosing an adequate proposal to solve the entire case. 6) Types of case reports according to certain criteria, according to the field of expertise, complexity, schema, selection strategy or relation to theory formation. 7) Case studies in relation to the research plan. 8) Intrinsic case study, instrumental case study, collective case study. 9) Case study, case study, community study, study of social groups, study of organizations and institutions. 10) Case report as a literary unit. 11) Creation of a case report, process of creation of a case report. 12) Applicable approaches, theories, methods in case study. 13) Basic case study case. 14) Choice of the appropriate specific case study name.

Learning outcomes
Students will get acquainted with the concept of a case study in an interdisciplinary concept of helping professions, its definition, types and possibilities of use. The aim of the seminar is to acquaint students with the process of preparation and creation of a case study so that they are able to proceed independently in their case work according to the described steps. Students will be informed about the process of creating a case study, individual parts will be illustrated by examples, supplemented with questions for reflection, accompanied by follow-up study material. Attention will be paid to understanding and conception of a case study as a literary unit, a research study where it is understood as a descriptive, exploratory or possibly verification process.

Student's performance analysis
