Seminars: 1. Social, personal, and intrapersonal perception - self presentation. 2. Social acknowledgement determinants - mistakes in social acknowledgement (first impression mistake, projection, stereotypes etc.). 3. Emotional intelligence, life satisfaction, the meaning of individual existence - will to the meaning, subjective quality of life. 4. Personal, group and professional expectance, life attitudes and motives - activities, circle of impressions. 5. Cognitive abilities, instincts, emotions, passions, fluid and crystal emotional intelligence, wisdom - ideal and real me. 6. Personal space, limits, sensitivity, conformity - activities, safe zones. 7. Verbal and non-verbal communication, optimal balance, effective communication, communication bad habits. 8. Active listening, feedback, empathy - self directed group. 9. Respect, complains, mysteries according to Virginia Satir - how to initiate, manage and finish community work. 10. Soft skills, assertive communication prerequisites, cooperation, flexibility in communication - how o set a question, wrong questions, effective interview. 11. Counselling, competencies, support, counselling ethics - parent, child, adult, the four ears theory. 12. Self-esteem, bunout syndrome prevention - character, activities. 13. Team cooperation aspects, how to transform group coopetition to team cooperation, looking for appropriate means to support rules, cooperative approaches. 14. The end of community work, evaluation, fulfilling the expectance, training - individual outcomes, personal and professional perspective.

Learning outcomes

The goal of the discipline is the practical training of the cognitive, emotional, and social skills. The students adopt, develop and strengthen special personal abilities leading to effective realization of helping process. Primary target is to learn the effective communication and the ability of empathy. Community strategies helps to develop the interdisciplinary character of social work.
