Learning outcomes
|
Students acquaint the elementary problems of adictology, necessary definitions and terminology from this topic included. Students receive general information about the psychoactive substances and their influence as well as the information and characteristics of particular groups of clients - children, the youth, women and their gender characteristics; men and their gender characteristics; addicted mothers with babies; drug addicts who offend law. Students acquaint the system of institutions helping the addicts, Harm-reduction, counseling within street work and contact work; counseling and motivation; dealing with people with acute intoxication.

Student's performance analysis
To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
