Course content
1. Crisis and crisis situation 2. Catastrophe theory 3. Crisis situations as a special type of challenging life situation 4. Reactions in the crisis situations 5. Specifics symptoms of the coping with the crisis situations at children 6. Crisis intervention and its forms 7. Social support in crisis 8. Socio-psychological characteristik of a crisis worker 9. Specific forms of the crisis intervention in relation to violence

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence

Learning outcomes
In this discipline students will learn possibilities of intervention by using techniques of crisis intervention. Students will learn the types of crisis and its process in the life of individuals, will learn the symptoms of the crisis. Students will learn, how to give an intervention to an individual in the crisis.

Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
