Practical training in the first semester is realized as a short term attachment - excursion, with professional supervision of the practical training supervisor of FP TUL (KSS FP TUL). Practical training is realized in 6 particular institutions. Students do their practical training by means of observation. Students work out a record of practice (optionally self-reflection), which is consulted with a supervisor within individual consultations. It is expected that the practical training gives students basic orientation within tasks that the institution serves as well as the elementary legislation of social services and the social work methods, used in the institution. Student comprehends the process of work within the particular institution, the position and role of social worker there, communication with client and the description of the institution´s clients as such.
