Course content
Lectures (topics): 1. Characteristics of risks related to trade activities, possibilities of their mitigation. 2. Subjects of insurance market, EU single insurance market issues. 3. Export credit risks in the Czech Republic, methods of mitigation, state participation and commercial insurance. 4. State supported export - system and basic legislation of financing and insurance; compliance with EU directives and WTO rules. 5. Credit insurance products - state support. 6. Commercial credit insurance. 7. Credit insurance products development in the Czech Republic, territorial structure. 8. Czech legislation of credit insurance and its compatibility with EU legislation, determinant institutions regulating credit insurance in international trade. 9. Approach to state supported export credit insurance in selected EU member states. 10.Risk management in international trade enterprise. 11.Liability insurance products. 12.Insurance for international transport. 13.Other products (exhibition insurance, etc.). Seminars (topics): 1. Semestral projects assignment, selection of research goals. 2. Czech insurance market in terms of global problems. 3. Consultations on semestral projects, comments on methodology. 4. Discussion with an expert. 5. Semestral project presentations and discussion on the researched goal.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to introduce students to the possibilities of managing risks not only in SMEs, but also in big corporations. Students should be able to analyse risk situations in an enterprise and should suggest possible solutions for decreasing or eliminating the risks.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the subject of Principles of Insurance Industry.
