Course content
Course: 1. Overview of spinning technology according to used technology including basic technological principles. 2. Machines for preparation of fibrous material, carding machines and draw frames. 3. Combing machines and tow-to-top converters. 4. Flyer frame, finishers, ring spinning machines. 5. Rotor spinning machines, twisting machines. 6. Mechanisms of winding and warping machines. The mechanisms of weaving machines and their overall layout, drives and beat-up mechanisms. 7. Mechanisms for shedding. 8. Mechanisms for weft insertion. 9. Mechanisms for warp feeding and fabric take-off. 10. Weaving machines for fabrics in leno weave. 11.- 14. Machine design and mechanisms of knitting machines in general. The loop forming elements and control system of flat and circular weft knitting machines. The loop forming elements and control of warp knitting machines. Overview of current manufacturers of knitting machines and news in technology. Practice 1. Fundamentals of kinematic and technological calculations of spinning machines. 2. Selected spinning machines - laboratory. 3. Kinematic and technological calculations of the flat carding machine. 4. Kinematic and technological calculations of the ring spinning machine. 5. Kinematic and technological calculations of rotor spinning machine. 6-7. Excursion. 8. - 10. Analysis of individual machine mechanisms in weaving laboratory. 10. - 11. Excursions into knitting mill or laboratory. 11.-13. TexMind Warp Knitting Software - individual task. Preparation and threading of a warp knitting machine, setting of machine mechanisms according to prepared structure design. Preparation, adjustment and setting of a flat double knitting machine with a feeder for so-called "delicate, " threads - production of knitwear for special purposes. 14. Assignment of assigned tasks and their defense.

Learning outcomes
The course follows the basic subjects Technology I, Spinning, Weaving and Knitting. In this course the student gains a deeper knowledge of the construction of textile machines and mechanisms. The introduction discusses the general principles and terminology in the field of textile machine. Subject deals with specific machinery, which is used in spinning, weaving and knitting. The student acquires knowledge about the specific mechanisms of individual machines, trends in their structural organization.

Basic knowledge of mathematics and mechanics.

Combined examination, Student's performance analysis
