Course content
1. Introduction to the subject, athletic warm-up. 2. Development of acceleration, methodology of low start training. 3. Athletic alphabet, relay: baton pass - down sweep technique. 4. Development of speed, rebound training. 5. Development of endurance - game method, cross-country run. 6. Athletic rules I. - general rules, rules of competition on the track. 7. Athletic rules II. - field competitions, combined events (pentathlon, heptathlon, decathlon), racewalking. 8. Technique and methodology of training long jump (the sail technique), jumps from a short start. 9. General throwing exercises (throwing complex), technique and methodology of training throwing ball. 10. Long jump - rhythm of start-up, jumps from full start-up, ball - throws from short start. 11. High jump - short start flop, shot put - the step back technique training, shotputs (step back tech.). 12. Training lesson - athletic alphabet, low start, long and high jump, shot put. 13. Fulfillment of credit requirements - test of rules, athletic alphabet, sprint ABC, low start, running for 12 min. 14. Fulfillment of credit requirements -techniques demonstration: long jump, bal throw, events (the step back technique).

Learning outcomes
Students will get acquainted with the basic athletic disciplines, learn the basic techniques and get acquainted with the training methodology. At the same time, they will develop motoric skills by athletic means. They will also learn the basic rules of athletics related to the organization and judging in competitions.
Student will be able to demonstrate the right technique of athletics discipline.
Prerequisites
Elementary movement skills - adequate to the students age class.

Student's performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Written assignment

Course credit requirements: Demonstration of basic athletic skills - athletic alphabet, low start, long jump (the sail technique), high jump (the flop technique), shot put (the step back technique), verification of the required level of motoric skills, participation in organizing athletic competitions (organization and judging).
