The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the possibilities of using knowledge of human biomechanics in sports. During the lectures, selected topics from the biomechanics of human locomotion and tissue biomechanics will be explained. Furthermore, students will be introduced to experimental methods of biomechanics, both from a theoretical and practical point of view. Exercises will focus on the application of the acquired knowledge to the analysis of selected movement activities, especially on the optimization of human movement from the point of view of technical execution, health risks and technological security.
