Course content
1. Subject, theory, methods - Psychological disciplines - Phylogeny, Anthropogenesis, Ontogenesis (definition) - Goals of developmental psychology - Definition of the subject of developmental psychology - Disciplines of developmental psychology - Areas of psychological development - Factors (heredity, environment) and processes (maturation and learning) of psychological development - Methods of developmental psychology 2. Periodization of development - Types of periodizations according to focus - Definition of psychological development (is it a natural process, a holistic process...according to Vágnerová, 2005) - Developmental milestones - Sensitive and critical periods The most famous periodization of development: 3. E.H. Erikson - Theory of psychosocial development 4. J. Piaget - Theory of cognitive development 5. L. Kohlberg - Theory of moral development 6. S. Freud - Theory of psychosexual development 7. Psychomotorics, Children and movement - Defining psychomotorics - Principles of psychomotor activities, competences - Movement activities in children - Risks of today's world in the area of children's movement 8. Periodization of development - Types of periodizations according to focus - Definition of psychological development (is it a regular process, a holistic processaccording to Vágnerová, 2005) - Developmental milestones - Sensitive and critical periods 9. Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide an overview of the psychological development of a person, its basic stages, processes, key periods and possible developmental problems. Attention will be paid to the psychomotor development of children and the factors influencing the development of an individual.

Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of General Psychology.

Written exam

Study objectives: 1. active participation on the lecture 2. participants will perform all given tasks 3. reading of relevant academic texts 4. presentation of a selected topic 5. successful accomplishment of institutional objectives of the course - attainment above the minimum requirements for the award of credit
