Course content
|
1. The concept of upbringing, education, learning. Personality and its formation and development in the process of upbringing and education. 2. The atmosphere of the social group, social perception, roles in the group, unwritten norms of the group. 3. Working with the feelings of pupils as a prevention of disciplinary problems. 4. Raising children, risks. Definition of terms: Experience, Behaviour, Abilities, Traits, Temperament, Character The role of the mother, the role of the father. 5. Behavioural disorders. Children's lies, bad habits, disobedience and indiscipline, defiance and negativism, truancy, theft, drug problems, aggressive manifestations. 6. Developmental stages of a child according to needs - 1st and 2nd grade of primary school. 7. Working with groups. Conditions for growth for groups and individuals according to Carl Rogers. 8. Basic social needs, consequences of their insatiability in primary school. 9. Thematic work with a group.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with areas and topics of general, social and applied psychology. The expected output is students' orientation in basic constructs and terminology in selected areas of psychology.
After completion of the subject student will be able 1. Understand the content of the subject of educational psychology, training, social and applied psychology. 2. Describe and analyze the topics of the subject. 3. Use the acquired knowledge and skills in working with groups. 4. He/She will be motivated to further his/her education in the given field.

Prerequisites

Student has basic knowledge of General Psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam, Practical demonstration of acquired skills
Study objectives: 1. active participation on the lecture 2. participants will perform all given tasks 3. reading of relevant academic texts 4. presentation of thematic lessons, written processing of the activity 5. successful accomplishment of institutional objectives of the course - attainment above the minimum requirements for the award of credit
