Course content
|
The course content is teaching of chosen folk dances of Bohemia and Moravia, sports dances - selected standard and Latin dances, IDO dances, acrobatic rock and roll. Contemporary dance trends. Some selected typical national dances.

Learning outcomes
|
The course provides for students basic theoretical and practical skills in the field of folk and sports dances. The theoretical part includes the history of each dance, general dance terminology and introduction to the basic principles of the various techniques. The practical part contains the basic dance variations, coordinative and rhythmic exercises.
Students will learn the basic skills of folk and sports dances.

Prerequisites

Elementary movement skills - adequate to the students age class.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student's performance analysis, Didactic test
Active participation in the exercises. Practical demonstration of selected dances. Test.
