Course content
Lectures and seminars: 1. Healthy lifestyle and its importance for human life (basic terminology, historical context, current trends). 2. Physical aktivity and health (conception, relations to health, diagnosis, recommendation). 3. Physical fitness and health (conception, relations to health, diagnosis, recommendation). 4. Healthy food and its influence on body composition (including nutritional suplements issues). 5. Active and passive regeneration (including sleep and relaxation). 6. Stress and its influence for the overall human health. 7. Other aspects of healthy lifestyle (personal hygiene, hardening, addiction etc.).

  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 45 hours per semester
  • Undergraduate study programme term essay - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the aspects of healthy lifestyle and their relations to human health.
Students will receive special competences as per curriculum of accredited specialisation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Student's performance analysis, Test

Course credit requirements: Participation in classes (80% attendance), preparation and defence of a seminar project. Examination requirements: Theoretical knowledge test.
