Lectures: 1) Introduction to information systems and introduction to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 2) Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiological Information System 3) Computer networks and their architecture, client-server architecture, the most frequently applied operating systems in medical IS; database systems and their role in HIS 4) Information system security; encryption, digital signature, certificate, health service provider websites; security testing tools Tutorials: 1) Introduction to the subject; introduction to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 2) Hospital information system, radiological information system 3) Medicus information system, AKORD information system (hospitalization, ambulance) 4) Media for medical records, certificates, security mechanisms, security programs

Learning outcomes
|
The content of the course is the methodology of planning and implementation of information technology in health care. The course mainly deals with hospital information systems (HIS), facility management, PACS, DICOM, electronic archive, data storage, and outsourcing. Essential topics are the security and protection of sensitive data; data communication standards.
