The graduate will be able to:
- based on the current state of knowledge and own research to develop and propose new methods of ICT use,
- suggest, implement and evaluate informatics solutions meeting the technical possibilities, the targeted technical capacity, and deeper user needs,
- use the algorism techniques, model computer architectures and software technologies,
- develop system and application software,
- create computing systems,
- coordinate work of a broader team of technical and analytical staff,
- using a systems approach to design and to create new technological and managerial instruments and procedures to reach the effectiveness of economic environment.

The aim of the PhD study programme is to provide graduates in IT technologies and systems along with economic knowledge. This combination will enable graduates to gain top managerial positions, or top positions at research establishments.

The graduate at the doctoral level has knowledge of: - mathematics, theoretical computer science, computer and communication systems, algorithms and data structures, programming, analysis and processing of structured and non-structured data and principles of artificial intelligence, - mathematical models and relevant information and communication technologies, - different levels of computer systems architectures, - the formal language theory, automata and compilers, - software engineering, development of information systems, computer security, computer graphics and user interface, - techniques for designing and analysing algorithms with respect to computational complexity and practical solution of the given problems.
