Annotation
|
The study programme Sport for Healthy Lifestyle is conceived as a bachelor study programme in the full-time form of study with the standard length of three years. In this study programme, sport is defined according to the European Sports Charter as all forms of physical activity which, through casual or organised participation, aim at expressing or improving physical fitness and mental well-being, forming social relationships or obtaining results in competition at all level (in accordance with the principle generally known as "Sport for All"). Study programme is particularly based on managing of practical skills needed for the profession that is supported by the acquisition of necessary knowledge of theory. The study reflects knowledge from the scientific field of kinanthropology and simultaneously, it is complemented by a series of primary-prevention and educational-psychology subjects to which practical sport-movement oriented subjects are connected. Therefore, the theoretical background aims at the acquisition of knowledge concerning the impact of sport and physical activity on the function of human organism. Furthermore, the aim of the practical subjects is the acquisition of the ability to lead practically oriented leisure physical-education or sports clubs, organise sport events or prepare and apply concept materials within the field of authorities of civil service with the aim of positive improvement of public active lifestyle and simultaneously related primary prevention of health risks connected with the insufficient amount of physical activity in the current population.

Health requirements
|
The adequate medical eligibility of the applicant for study is also required. In this case, the medical examination must be performed by a provider in the field of sports medicine, who will then provide with a medical eligibility report.

|
A graduate of the professionally oriented bachelor study programme Sport for Healthy Lifestyle will receive the education and a practically oriented university qualification for professional work in various sport and physical-education job positions in leisure non-profit organizations and associations, private entities and state and local government institutions. The basis of the graduate's knowledge, skills and competences lies in the field-science, educational-psychology and general competencies leading to the support of healthy lifestyle in society.

Graduates are qualified to perform an organisational, educational and managerial activities at leisure non-profit organizations and associations (e.g. physical education associations, sports clubs, leisure centres, children and youth centres, interest societies, public benefit societies, civic associations, foundations and endowment funds), in business entities (e.g. wellness and fitness centres, regeneration centres, public spa, travel agencies, accommodation facilities, sporting goods production and marketing agencies) and in state and local government institutions (e.g. ministries, regional authorities and city or municipal authorities) with a focus on sports and leisure physical activities. The long-term professional practice during the study helps to improve the employability of graduates. It includes the associated supervision, which the student can choose according to their preferences and thus gain valuable experience for their future professional life.

Graduates can hold, for example, the following positions, which are in accordance with the National Profession System administered by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic: independent leader of leisure activities for children and youth, instructor of physical activities for people with diseases of affluence, main leader of recovery events for children and youth, assistant coach, expert officer for sport in state administration, service worker in sport - specialist etc.
