|
The study is conceived as a theoretical-practical unit in which students will learn the available knowledge of contemporary emergency medicine, intensive and resuscitation care and the possibilities of their effective use in practice. The objectives of the study are aimed at obtaining the professional qualification of a paramedic with the authorisation to perform activities in pre-hospital emergency care, including the air ambulance group, and in the provision of acute intensive inpatient care, including care in the emergency department.

|
A graduate demonstrates knowledge without professional supervision and without indication to the extent of his professional competence. Provides healthcare in accordance with legislation and standards, ensures compliance with the hygiene-epidemiological regime in accordance with legislation governing the protection of public health, makes entries in medical records and other documentation resulting from other legislation, works with the health service provider's information system, provides information to the patient in accordance with his professional competence, where appropriate, instructions from a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, clinical psychologist or clinical logo Participates in practical teaching in fields of study to gain fitness for the health profession, participates in the preparation of standards, motivates and educates individuals, families and groups of persons to adopt healthy lifestyles and take care of themselves, participates in ensuring the inclusion of new health professionals, implements measures to deal with the consequences of an emergency or crisis situation. The graduate performs activities without professional supervision and without indication in the context of specific nursing care in the provision of pre-hospital emergency care, as well as in the provision of acute in-patient care, including in-patient care. Graduate monitors and evaluates vital functions (including electrocardiographic recording), continuously monitors and evaluates rhythm disturbances, investigates and monitors pulse oxymeter, initiates and performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation using hand-held recovery bags, including heart defibrillation by electrical discharge after recording of electrocardiogram, provides peripheral venous or intrase Establishes and maintains inhalation and oxygen therapy.

Projected position of this programme’s graduates in the job market
|
Graduated application of network devices and workstations emergency medical services, hospitals, the medical operations center; An emergency pre-hospital care (EMS crew exit); emergency department in hospitals; on anesthesiology and resuscitation departments; the other components of the integrated rescue system, especially the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic; Czech Police; other ingredients active in saving the life and health: Army of the Czech Republic; Mountain Rescue Service; Water Rescue Service; in the research field; in education and further studies in the master's program. The graduate shall be used in the context of specific nursing care in the provision of pre-hospital emergency care, as well as in the provision of acute in-patient intensive care, including in-patient care. Involved in emergency, therapeutic and diagnostic care. The graduate of the study programme is ready to pursue a profession and to study in a master's degree programme, within which he is able to solve problems on the basis of a framework assignment. It is able to report knowledge of theories, concepts and methods, it is able to independently acquire additional expertise, skills and competences based primarily on practical experience and its evaluation, but also by a separate study of theoretical knowledge of the field. The graduate is also ready to practice as a nurse and other non-medical professions.

Studijní program poskytuje kvalifikační odborné vzdělání na bakalářském stupni. Ve studiu lze dále pokračovat v navazujících magisterských studijních programech stejného nebo příbuzného zaměření na jiných vysokých školách. Absolventi mohou dále studovat v navazujících magisterských studijních programech např. Ochrana obyvatelstva, Ekonomie a management ve zdravotnictví.
