Course content
Lectures: 1. Supervision in the context of social work. 2. Supervision contract (formulation, content, structure and options; differences between supervision and therapy). 3. The procedure of supervision (contracting, determination). 4. Personal characteristics of the supervisor (personality, education etc.). 5. The outcome of supervision (good and bad supervision). 6. Other methods associated with supervision and used in social work. 7. Portfolio of the social work student. Seminars: 1. Group discussion on the method of portfolio and its meaning for social work education. 2. Supervision in the practical training in the second semester (individual introduction and group discussion). 3. The practical examples of using social work theory in the social work practise. 4. Discovering ethical problems, issues and dilemmas in social work. 5. Group discussion of the methodical approach in particular cases, finding optimal solutions, multidisciplinary approach. 6. Supervision group - the rules. 7. Balint group and individual supervision.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Group consultation, Students' portfolio

Learning outcomes
Supervision in the practical training is a discipline bulit up on the experience from practical training. Students learn to accept and understand supervision as a way of correcting their professional behaviour and as a tool of their professional growth.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Written assignment

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer. Seminar thesis.
