Course content
The process of creating an architectural design respecting the design brief. The design must relate to the place, the purpose, the cultural and social context. Respecting the material and structural relations. The basics of architectural design and presentation. 1. Analysis of the design brief 2. Analysis of the design brief 3. Conceptual design 4. Learning activities and teaching methods
Individual creative and artistic activities
  • Class attendance - 130 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The studios are defined by the managers of architectonic studios at the college who are outstanding personalities of Czech architectural engineering. The students choose both the head teacher and the assignment of the studio for a particular term. The assigned works follow the logic of increasing level of difficulty from the second to the fourth year (from a villa through an apartment house to more difficult tasks of buildings and urbanistic tasks). Creative approach and application of theoretical knowledge of students, which are integral elements of the analytical part of a project, are emphasized at the teaching in the studios.
Ability to work independently on an assigned architectonic assignment.
